Education often predicts our success as individuals. Our performance in school often sets our life path, influencing where we live, where we work, and how we raise our own children. But our society does not always ensure that all children have equal access to a quality education. Children of color lag behind white students in their progress through school; lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered youth walk the hallways in fear.
JUST COMMUNITIES works with educators, students and parents to create schools in which all students enjoy a sense of connectedness, safety, and the highest quality education.
IEE - Institute for Equity in Education
Just Communities' Institute for Equity in Education is a 4.5-day residential, intensive training that provides educators, staff, parents, and community stakeholders with an opportunity to identify constructive strategies for addressing educational inequality through race-conscious examination. Just Communities' Institute for Equity in Education helps participants develop the skills, tools, and resources necessary to create effective learning environments for all students.
